International Women's Day 2018

12.30pm | March 08, 2018

International Women’s Day is 117 years old: a call for economic justice and equality that resonates today. Full time working women in Australia earn 22.4% less than their male counterparts, single Australian women over 55 are the fastest growing group falling into homelessness, and Australian women retire with nearly 50% less superannuation than men. #MeToo and #TimesUp are shining a light on sexual harassment, assault and violence. There is still so much to be done. Let’s use today to reaffirm our commitment to ending gender inequality.
